M.P.E.C. 2023-P34 Issued 2023 August 7, 21:09 UT The Minor Planet Electronic Circulars contain information on unusual minor planets, routine data on comets and natural satellites, and occasional editorial announcements. They are published on behalf of Division F of the International Astronomical Union by the Minor Planet Center, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Cambridge, MA 02138, U.S.A. Prepared using the Tamkin Foundation Computer Network MPC@CFA.HARVARD.EDU URL https://www.minorplanetcenter.net/ ISSN 1523-6714 DELETION OF 2015 LA65 The designation 2015 LA65, announced on MPS 1915947 on Aug. 3, 2023 UT, is being deleted. The object was reported as a multi-night linkage of Pan-STARRS 1 (F51) detections, however, the submitters later realized that the detections were a mixture of mostly synthetic simulated detections and a few real ones, all obtained from a catalog of detections, without any visual verification. Therefore, the designation 2015 LA65 is being deleted and will be listed as omitted. M. P. C. Staff (C) Copyright 2023 MPC M.P.E.C. 2023-P34
