    M.P.E.C. 2023-J28 Issued 2023 May 3, 21:12 UT

The Minor Planet Electronic Circulars contain information on unusual
minor planets, routine data on comets and natural satellites,
and occasional editorial announcements. They are published
on behalf of Division F of the International Astronomical Union by the
Minor Planet Center, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory,
                              Cambridge, MA 02138, U.S.A.

                         RETRACTION OF M.P.E.C 2023-J23

On May 3, 2023, the Minor Planet Center erroneously reused a previously
assigned provisional designation (S/2007 S 4, which is Saturn XLIX = Anthe)
for a new object in M.P.E.C. 2023-J23. That M.P.E.C is therefore being
retracted. The published observations will be republished under the correct
    designation in a future M.P.E.C.
