M.P.E.C. 2021-J216 Issued 2021 May 14, 15:14 UT The Minor Planet Electronic Circulars contain information on unusual minor planets and routine data on comets. They are published on behalf of Division F of the International Astronomical Union by the Minor Planet Center, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Cambridge, MA 02138, U.S.A. Prepared using the Tamkin Foundation Computer Network MPC@CFA.HARVARD.EDU URL https://www.minorplanetcenter.net/ ISSN 1523-6714 EDITORIAL NOTICE Proposals for new minor planet names are judged by the Working Group for Small-Body Nomenclature (WGSBN) of the International Astronomical Union (IAU). For the past few decades, after approval by the WGSBN, the IAU Minor Planet Center was responsible for officially announcing the new minor planet names in the Minor Planet Circulars (MPCs). Starting on May 14, 2021, new minor planet names will be announced via a new IAU-approved PDF publication, the WGSBN Bulletin. New names will no longer be published or announced in the MPCs. All naming requests and queries about names, citations and corrections should be directed to the WGSBN at contact@wgsbn-iau.org. Issues of the WGSBN Bulletin are available from two sources: https://www.iau.org/publications/iau/wgsbn-bulletins/ and https://www.wgsbn-iau.org/. Data files containing the new names and citations (in json format) are available at the second URL. M. P. C. Staff (C) Copyright 2021 MPC M.P.E.C. 2021-J216
