M.P.E.C. 2018-N18 Issued 2018 July 6, 00:54 UT The Minor Planet Electronic Circulars contain information on unusual minor planets and routine data on comets. They are published on behalf of Division F of the International Astronomical Union by the Minor Planet Center, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Cambridge, MA 02138, U.S.A. Prepared using the Tamkin Foundation Computer Network MPC@CFA.HARVARD.EDU URL https://www.minorplanetcenter.net/ ISSN 1523-6714 COMET C/2018 N1 (NEOWISE) J. R. Masiero (C51) reported that the discovery images of this object showed "significant cometary activity". D. T. Durig (850, July 5) noted that the object was diffuse in individual exposures, with an 18" coma visible in 90 stacked 10s images, along with a possible faint 30" outer coma and an asymmetric extension to the west. L. S. Amaral (X74, July 5) reported a 15" coma in three stacked 60s exposures.
