(39653) Carnera = 1995 UC
Luigi Carnera (1875-1962) began his career as Max Wolf's assistant at
the Heidelberg Observatory, Germany, where he discovered sixteen new
asteroids in 1901/02. Later, he taught astronomy in Genoa and was director
of Trieste and Naples Observatories.
