Palupín is a small pleasant village with a manor-house in the
Czech-Moravian Highlands that was first mentioned in 1368. St. Wenceslaus
church was built by a local landlord in 1617. The family roots of
co-discoverer J. Ticha (nee Peltan) lie in this village.
